History

Founding

In early June of 2007 after the demise of D.D.C. and another, quick-to-perish clan, t-rev decided to start Beyond Compare. Initially, the only other member was Nova. Soon after founding, the clan became inactive and Nova left it to (re)start Maximum Destruction (MD). Later that June, t-rev returned to the AC scene and rekindled BC. This began with the recruitment of several new people; some old faces along with many new. These included Patillac, Chappy, Meatpie, 19Delta, nef, Detonator, Logistic, BokXx and several others. After the insignificant others (io) clan did not take off as well as planned, iason and Liquid brought both their playing talent and other experiences to the clan.

Inactivity

Throughout the end of 2007 and the first half of 2008, many members were busy with school, work, and other activities. This led to a decline in new members as well as losing some of those that had been in the clan the longest. Regardless of these circumstances, BC pushed on and continued to survive in the AC world.

Re-Growth

With the onset of a vacation for many members in mid 2008, the clan began to grow once again. Many spectacular players were added to the ranks and helped to bring BC back to an active state. With more than 20 members and continual growth, it is definitive that BC will remain a prominent clan in AssaultCube for some time to come.

Major member departure

Throughout the duration of the ESL AssaultCube Season 1, the organisation and information of the games within the clan caused tensions as the weaker players played the games even though the stronger players have not been properly informed of arrangements of the ESL games. As a protest due to this, four members of the clan left to join other major clans in April 2009, which was seen as a big hit to the clan. Quoting from the Beyond Compare News page: "There have been quite a few changes with BC recently, and there will be a few more in the weeks to come. We have lost several members including Chin@, Z-Karius, Zenith and basic. Many of these members have been with BC for quite some time; some more than others."
