Server administration
From AssaultCube
TODO: beginner friendly explanation of the master/admin state, master modes, etc.
Basic Master Controls
How to become master...
Press esc (Escape key), and press Enter on Multiplayer (You can scroll through the menu using Up and Down arrow keys).
Then press Enter on Server Operator, and Enter again on Claim Master.
It would only work if no one else is master, or you know the password to claim master or server admin status.
Claiming master would allow you to do multiple things, kicking and banning unwelcome players etc.
Here are the commands...and do not forget to press TAB key for scoretable to check for the Client Number (the furthest right number of the scoresheet...)
X stands for the Client Number, CN It should be next to the player name on the score table
/ban X (Banning would disable the person connecting to the server for 20 minutes, and unless they change their IP they cannot connect back on)
/kick X (Kick the person out, but not ban him/her...It can come back. Kick is mainly used for warnings)
/autoteam 1 (This would allow you to even out the players current teams)
To only force one person, after having the Master status, go to the Server Operator and to Force Team Change.
Then press Enter on the player's name to move it to the other team.
These are the basic controls, and to change maps the server currently plays on, please read on.
Map Change
/X Y
X stands for dm, tdm, osok, tosok, lss, pf, ts etc. For example, if you want to play on ac_depot and the desired game mode is Capture The Flag, then type this; /ctf ac_depot
- ctf=Capture The Flag
- dm=Death Match
- tdm=Team Death Match
- osok=One Shot One Kill
- tosok=Team One Shot One Kill
- lss=Last Swiss Standing
- pf=Pistol Frenzy
- ts=Team Survivor
If you want to play on non-default maps, maps someone else made etc., type /sendmap after voting on it and you are on the map...this would send the map to the server, and everyone else would be able to receive the map by typing /getmap
